Willow 2.0

I shared with you earlier in the week how Willow went to the vet on Monday for her dental work. Well, the vet must have done something to her, because she has not been the same since returning.

Willow's never been overly affectionate. She might crawl up in my lap maybe once every three or four months, but since returning from the vet, she cannot keep herself off of me!

She's gone crazy for cuddles and loves.

Had I known the only thing stopping her from becoming a cuddle kitty was her teeth, I would have had those pulled a long time ago!

Having another cuddly kitty in the family does pose for an extra challenge. They all want to cuddle only with me and that's a problem, because my lap is only so big! Oliver, Theo, Buddy and now Willow all need their daily cuddle time - how am I suppose to get any work done?!

Have a great weekend!!

  1. She's melting my heart. :-)

Love the photo of her over your shoulder.

I have no idea how you manage giving everyone the time/attention they need. Even with just my two, I feel like I don't have enough time to do the house/life/work stuff that needs to get done, as well as give them as much attention as they seem to need.

I wonder if this will be a permanent change in Willow? That is, not a short-term reaction to the (possible) trauma?

    1. Giving them all the attention they need takes a lot of time and often I fall short. Usually it's Nahum and Theo who suffer from not enough play. As for taking care of their cuddle needs, they each have their cuddle times and thankfully they seem to respect the schedule.

  4. Oh she is just a doll. DO you think it was the pain in her teeth that was stopping her from giving affection. Amazing change and so sweet.

  6. Work? What's work? Especially compared to cat cuddling......we cats know that you humans would rather cuddle than work any day so we make ourselves available for that WHENEVER. Willow perhaps is trying to be SOOOO endearing that you'll never ever take her to the vet again - ever! We're sneaky like that.

    Hugs, Sammy

  8. I bet she was in pain. When I was growing up we had a kitten/young cat who was pretty antisocial. She got an infected eye which eventually had to be removed. Although she never became a cuddly cat, she was much more affectionate after her surgery.
What sweet pictures! She is such a pretty cat.

  10. OH how precious that is although I can easily understand the challenge although I don't have that "scheduling" need. She lust have been feeling badly before, as everyone else is saying. Bless her sweet heart.
