Mr. Oliver has a thing for hanging out on the roof.
Can you spot him up there?
Let me zoom in a bit...
He likes to balance on the peak and snooze!
See that patch of green grass in the background on the right? That's the dog walking area of at our vet's office. I love living next door to the 24-hour vet - it brings great peace of mind.
And speaking of the vet, Buddy was just in for his yearly servicing on Saturday. The vet wanted some of his blood (I'm suspecting she's a vampire.) The only complaint Buddy was talking about was his tummy rub deficiency, which he was sure would be evident in the test results.
The results were mostly good, everything is in the normal range, although his thyroid number is quite a bit higher than last time. So, we'll keep a watchful eye on that thyroid and will try to up the quantity of tummy rubs, if that's even possible!
He definitely has the bird's eye view. How does he get up there--out the upstairs window? How does he get down? Inquiring minds need to know!
ReplyDeleteI would be nervous seeing Oliver up there. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully the increase in tummy rubs will decrease his thyroid numbers....hahaha
That really is quite the view from up there! Hooray for mostly good Buddy news.
ReplyDeleteNow that kitty looks comfy up there and the view must be fabulous. Happy for your good news too.
ReplyDeleteBuddy I am so glad to know that your bloods gave us all good newes about you. Now Oliver, I could think of a LOT better place to balance that is not so high up! BUT: You are there and that is what counts!! I LOVE the idea of a 24 hr Vet just b=next door you may as well say! Oh to have such a wonderful thing happen here!
ReplyDeleteWE're glad Buddy mostly passed his tests. We know you furbabies don't think so, but how wonderful to live next to the 24 hr V-E-T!
ReplyDeletePee ESs - Oliver, come down from there!
Wowzers..now that's what I call a nice HIGH perch from which to spy! I'm sure it is nice being next door to a vet in case of emergencies. Glad to hear Buddy is doing well. YAY!
ReplyDeleteKitty Hugs, Sammy
Oliver has a fantastic vantage point! I can well imagine Nicki doing something like that, if he had a chance, and giving me heart failure in the process. LOL.
ReplyDeleteFingers and paws crossed that Buddy's T4 result was just some sort of anomaly.
love the roof sitter...much better than those silly rooster weather vanes! Hoping Buddy's thyroid numbers were just a glitch and that they return to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very cool "watchful Wednesday"! I am glad you have a good vet; keep us posted on Buddy. He is in our prayers!
ReplyDelete"Yearly Servicing", I LOVE that! Which tree does Oliver use to scale your house? He has a wonderful lookout, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a black cat thing. Foster, Ben, does the same thing from the deck to the canopy, to the roof. No problem. He went AWOL the other night and John found him under the deck, just lounging in the corner. He was ON the second-story deck earlier that evening. No apparent injuries, but he's grounded from the deck for a while.
ReplyDeleteBoy, Oliver really gets to have a top of the world view from the roof. Smart cat.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky you live right next door to a vet you like and trust. That is so good for all your kitties. Help is not far away if necessary.
Glad Buddy survived the vampire.
