My office is not a drug free workplace, nip is freely available!
I've been in this office for more than ten years, and this past month, the pigeons started hanging outside the windows. This will surely be a feature Marvin will enjoy.
Once back home, Marvin had to take a long nap after his grueling shift.
MaryAnn asked about the new location for his steroid ointment. Marvin was never happy about his ears being touched and they've broken out in sores. The vet told us to try applying the ointment inside of his back thigh, he said there are more blood vessels there to absorb the steroid. I rub it into his skin and he doesn't mind this application (knock on wood!)
You're doing a great job, Marvin, and we're glad you're feeling well enough to go back. :-)ReplyDelete
BTW, when I was giving Annie the hyper-t meds via transdermal gel, she had the same problem with her ears. I switched to a different base and that helped, and so did applying the meds in her armpits, though I had to periodically have them shaved to do so. I didn't know about the inside of the back thigh.
OH Marvin you sure do enjoy your 'work'!ReplyDelete
we bet Marvin is happy to be back to "work" and you are happy to have him there :)ReplyDelete

Marvin, glad to see you employed again...and with nip whenever you want it, and birds outside the window. Cat Paradise! Are you ticklish when your medicine gets rubbed in?ReplyDelete
I know you're loving having Marvin back on the job with you and I have no doubt it will be entertaining watching him "watching" the (wonder if he'll "chatter"like many cats do?). Thanks for the info on the other site for administering transdermal steroids. One of our cats also has very sensitive ears and I wondered if there were other areas meds could be applied. I'm so happy to know Marvin's asthma is currently under control--I'll pray that it stays that way!ReplyDelete
I am glad Marvin felt well enough to work :)ReplyDelete
