The battle to keep Oliver secure at night continues. My latest attempt involved making some modifications to the SureFlap programmable cat door.
I added two wooden bars in front of the door to try to keep him from getting his claws in the crack between the door, but the door can still swing freely.
How about {ierre? Is he also a leader? I know Oliver is the one who was clever and figured it out. I love that idea of the boards. Good thinking! Bustin' to know if this works.
I think Eastside Cats may be onto something. Oliver might like a challenge! If you can afford one, maybe a little puzzle ball would be fun for Oliver to occupy him. :) Jewel really loved those!
Methinks Oliver loves a challenge, now that you've thrown the gauntlet down! But good luck anyhow; I know how you feel about your outside cat friends.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think he is part squirrel..
ReplyDeleteOliver looks like he is putting his thinking cap on....time will tell!
ReplyDeleteHe looks perplexed. Clever and inexpensive fix--if it IS a fix!
ReplyDeleteHe is plotting! MOL
ReplyDeleteWe hope this works--Oliver needs to stay inside at night! I agree that he's probably plotting a way to get around it, though ;-)

ReplyDeleteCould you hold it shut from the outside with cinder blocks?
ReplyDeleteWe hope this works
ReplyDeleteNothing like a determined feline vs a clever human!
