The online cat blog world sure seems like a family, even though I haven't met most of you and may never do so. Today, my heart is filled with sadness, I just read the news that Lucy over at
Cattywumpus passed away so suddenly. We were just praying and then rejoicing over Skootch's recovery of a mystery illness when Lucy suddenly went down hill and now died in her human's arms.

Enjoy the endless treats, boxes and nip nanners over on your side of the Bridge, sweet Lucy. You will be forever missed by your humans and all of us who only knew you through your human's beautiful drawings. Romp free and I look forward to meeting you in person when it's my time to cross the bridge.
We so sad to hear about your friend. Our deepest sympathy to the humans who must be devastated.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phil. I have to say I agree with you about the blog world family. During the past couple of days while I was caring for Lucy I really felt the need to blog about her as a way of honoring her and reaching out to other cat lovers.
ReplyDeleteOh no! It is always hard to hear of the loss of one of our kitty friends. Sending purrs and headbutts!
ReplyDeleteFor me, the loss of a cat hurts no less than the loss of a child.
ReplyDeleteSending understanding hugs.

I was so sorry and sad to learn about Lucy. Let me go over and see her mama now.
ReplyDeleteIt is good to know that there are so many people who care about cats. 'Cause this is a harsh and cold world.
ReplyDeletemom feels the same way.....we may not meet 'in person' but we share the joys and grief with our friends.
ReplyDeleteoh no. We had heard that Lucy suddenly became ill but hadn't heard about her passing. Thank you for telling us. Our hearts are breaking
