neighborhood watch

We have one of these Neighborhood Watch signs on our block. These signs have always baffled me. Who's watching? Really? What counts as suspicious?

Well, today the mystery of these signs is no more, it all makes sense now.

    Our Scruffy is a guard cat. He sits at or feet or if we are in different rooms he'll sit between the rooms. At night it's the patio doors -- stray cats, possums or maybe even a racoon are his targets.

      Kitty patrol! They always seem to know what is going on in the neighborhood. Too bad we don't speak the same language or we would probably know a lot more of what is happening when we are not around.
