first wand toy

Hershey's still with me. He goes to his first big adoption event this weekend, hopefully to find his forever home! I've bonded with him but he needs a home where he can get more attention. I try to play with him every night but it's never enough.

I decided to pull out one of Nahum's favorites, the sparkle strand toy and give it a go.

I think he LOVES it! Now he's all wound up and doesn't want to stop! I put the wand toy away on top of the very high dresser and he's climbing his way to the top to retrieve it. It's fun to see him so happy. No doubt, he's going to make someone a very wonderful friend.

  2. Fingers (and paws) crossed he finds his forever home. I don't know how you manage to juggle all your own cats, let alone a foster...I find the demands on my time with just my two are high! (Plus Toby.) Some days it feels like everyone wants a piece of me and there's not enough to go around. Can't imagine being a parent to human kids. LOL.

    Good luck, Hershey!

  5. So I selfishly want you to keep Hershey, but I completely and totally understand it is for the best that he find a family he doesn't have to squeeze into. *kisses for the top of Hershey's head* Pick well little boy, and may you find them very quick.

  7. Great shots of Hershey having a good time. I think you should bring some of these photos to the event...a small album to show what a fun kitty he is!

  8. He looks like my cat Gus when he's playing with his wand toys. Gus will drag the toy to me to let me know he wants to play. I recently got Da Bird, and he love, love, loves that thing. I have to put that toy up so he doesn't chew up the feathers. He is forever on the hunt for the toy. I think I've started something I won't be able to finish.

  14. Hershey looks an awful lot like a cat I rescued while at college. I was walking home late at night when this cat appeared at the door, skinny and shivering from the cold. He was a sweetheart. One of the librarians gave him a home.
