I'm the newest resident cat at fourwhitepaws!
Laurie and Nancy just dropped by to bless me with this amazing gift!! Laurie knitted me an Oliver! Wow!! I love it!!!
Now, let's see if Oliver loves Oliver!
Always good to be cautious when meeting a new cat
Start by sniffing the butt
Hmmm...
Oliver's not looking very sure about this
Knitted Oliver has bendable legs and tail!
The second meeting:
New best friends!!
Laurie, thank you, thank you, thank you for the delightful gift! I feel honored and blessed that you would knit me an Oliver! How very, very sweet.
For those that don't remember, the patterns for these adorable knitted feline friends come from Knit Your Own Cat: Easy-to-Follow Patterns for 16 Frisky Felines. I think I'll be asking Laurie to teach me how to knit, these would make the perfect Christmas gifts! And now I want a knitted kitty action figure in the likes of each of my cats!
I am so in love with this cute knitted Oliver! Oliver and Oliver are adorable together! We had Mr Toes fixed and he is now inside and so happy. What a love bug he is! Charlie is getting use to him and doing OK for sure!! I am happy to now be a two cat home and feel so good about getting a kitty off the streets! Hugs, Linda

ReplyDeleteOh, that last picture of Knitted Oliver and Oliver sitting side by side is just AWWWWwwwwww....
ReplyDeleteWe love knitted Oliver, he's great. And yes, that last pic is just wonderful -- we're impressed the real Oliver didn't whap his knitted self. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I had a real AWWWWWW moment with that last picture. The knitted Oliver is so sweet. What an adorable post.
ReplyDeleteI ADORE THIS! I love the knitted Oliver and seeing Oliver react! LOVE this! I'll be grinning all DAY!
ReplyDeletethat is the cutest thing EVER!! She should sell them!
ReplyDeleteThat is totally awesome! I wonder if there is a company out there knitting cats that are made to look like your own cats?! That would be a great idea!
ReplyDeleteSo cute to see Oliver with his "mini-me" or in this case, "mini-meow"! :P
How adorable! Nothing can come close to the real thing, but the new knitted Oliver is sure a winner. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBecky
that is absolutely adorable.. well both are actually, the knitted kitty for one and the meeting for the second :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for setting up the 'meeting' and taking pics, Phil. Best laugh I've had today :) I'm glad Oliver likes his little friend and didn't whap him upside the head. He would have been puzzled when it didn't run away - ha! I'd be happy to teach you how to knit and these cats are pretty easy once you have the fundamentals down. You happen to live dangerously close to a great yarn shop..............
ReplyDeleteI'm literally laughing out loid... that last picture of the 2 of them lying together is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI know I am a bit late in my posting but I have to say I LOVE knitted Oliver. What a great present Laurie knitted for you! And she even beaded a collar with Oliver's name on it. That is one very special gift. I think that I need that book so I can make some knitted cats too.
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of the real Oliver and the knitted Oliver together. they are wonderful.
Hey, I think Oliver might be my long lost brother! I have the same white furs on my chest as he does.
