There I was, sitting on the couch with my Nahum parked next to me, innocently catching up on blogs.
Up jumped Rose - she parked herself right in Nahum's fluff, her way of asking for cuddles.
Of course Nahum obliged, he can't seem to say no to her.
Then the most bizarre thing happened. She stood in my lap and I petted her.
It was like she forgot she was afraid of humans.
She stood there for pets and soaked them in. Is this Rose?!
She loved it! I loved it!
Then she needed some more Nahum cuddles.
Wow!
What a week!
What a week for feline therapy! So happy for you.
ReplyDeleteWow is right. I'd be breaking out the champagne in celebration--way to go, Rose!
ReplyDeleteNahum must be a Valium Cat! Paws crosses that this wasn't a one-off.
ReplyDeleteSome kitties are snooze magnets :)
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so precious.
ReplyDeleteThat is so wonderful and we can feel your heart smiling!
ReplyDeleteSounds s if Nahum, by his closeness, gave Rose the confidence she needed to ask for and get some loving. Hope this is the start of something new for her. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteOh this warms my heart! Rose just needed Nahum to feel safe!

Once in awhile Spitty does something like this and I think I've gone to Narnia or something. But then he a-members again that I am his enemy and reality snaps into focus again, MOL!
ReplyDeletethat is just fabulous! Your title couldn't be more appropriate "A blooming Rose" love it!
ReplyDeleteI was sitting watching TV the other day when a cat climbed up on me for patting. I was patting it before I realized it was Eli, the kitty who spent years running from us due to being medicated as a kitten.. so I can totally appreciate the beauty and wonder of this post
ReplyDeleteThat is fabulous! Pets is always good!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post! It does seem as though Nahum is a valium kitty. Let's hope Rose comes back for more.
ReplyDeleteIt's so special when the Shy Ones come out & say hello!
ReplyDeleteBeen over at Wikiepdia 'feral cat' page lately? Appears to be written from a Bird Lover's strong point of view. Wiki is open source, I'd encourage folks look&edit.
